BALL SAHYOG ‘child friendly village’ is a micro model of a macro vision to make a child friendly world, where every child is free from exploitation, receives education, recreation and health facilities, their voices are heard and participation is ensured in an environment of friendliness, rights and dignity in the community. Intense consciousness raising efforts to challenge and change age-old mindsets based on many social, cultural and gender biases, sensitising and involving all stakeholders are among some of the key elements in creating a BALL SAHYOG

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Officer – BS (Child Friendly Village) is responsible for working under the Project Coordinator on all aspects of developing and implementing the concerned programme and various projects within the preview of programme. This position will be based in the Delhi.

Minimum Educational Attainment

She//he should be M.S.W/M.A. (Sociology, Geography, Anthropology or any other field of social sciences). This position will require significant academic and content knowledge, as well as project management skills.

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Children issues, Child rights and development issues at grass roots
• To report on progress of Saksons Institute for Child Education Reasearch & Development Trust’s child friendly village projects in accordance with the project requirements described in each project application through preparation of reports
• To prepare reporting schedule for projects and prepare project monitoring reports based on reports received from the field against the plans prepared by project team
• To prepare project progress reports for all assigned projects within the timeframe as agreed with a donor in consultation with your supervisor
• To ensure collection of data and liaise with Data Analyst for analysis of data
• Assist in documentation of all inspiring and exciting cases/stories, achievements and challenges in implementation of projects for internal learning and external agencies
• Assist in maintaining the Child Friendly Village section of the website through developing content and providing appropriate photos/videos
• Ensure financial monitoring of the project activities in accordance with the narrative report
• Identify potential donors, funding agencies and prepare concept notes and project proposals
At least 3-4 years of work experience in Development Sector.
